N22hoop, what do I have against Enfield?

This dates back to the 60’s when Enfield were loathed by nearly all non league clubs in the south. Followers of Wimbledon, Barnet & Hendon detested them far more than me. Their arrogance was only surpassed by THAT club just off of the M40 in South Bucks. They really are the Devil incarnate!

In the early 90’s there was a bitter rivalry between Enfield & Chesham but that improved the relationship between the supporters. It is certainly a shame that Southbury Road closed. A good ground that was always worth a visit, especially if you had won!

I moved to Ipswich from Chesham in 1974 so I wouldn’t know the make up of the present day population. I mainly follow CHESH on the net these days, but who ever forgets their first love?

I have been a member of Report for a few years now & post (mainly rubbish) on there most days. I also look at dotorg & LFW on a regular basis & will add not606 to this list.

Relegation from the first division in 1969 was my inspiration in becoming a fully fledged R & have been true to the cause ever since, although I still have a mistress in my first love, Chesham United FC!

My favourite manager is Gordon Jago & apart from the obvious, player wise includes Frank Clarke, Mick Leach, Mike Ferguson, Gary Waddock & Paul Furlong (I've even forgiven him connections to four clubs detest/dislike- C*****a, Brum, Watford & Enfield).

Look forward to visiting the site as frequently as I can.
