I thnk Bruce will give him a crack at the PL - afterall he paid good money and will want to see it justified. Bruce has already admitted Nick has a lot more to learn. He is a finisher though but I still think he needs to accpet the physicality.

Why does everybody say he has a problem with the physical aspect. To me, his problems seem to be controlling the ball and shooting.

Well he's right isnt he? Would anyone here say Hull is the 'nicest' city they have been to? Cos I wouldnt. He didnt say it was a festering ****hole, he said exactly what it is so please dont anyone make it into an issue.

And thanks for the translation, this was a really good read and reasures me about him a bit. I'm glad he seems to like the group and goes out with them in Manchester and Leeds, he always cut a bit of a 'loner' figure.

Most German's are not a "barrel of laughs". Their humour is dryer and more intelligent.

Yes Nick is right it indeed is not the nicest, but, so are many other places in the UK. And Hull like them has some lovely places on the outskirts that readers of this board are only too familiar with.
I myself live now in an area with stunning scenery, however, lived in South Cave for many years (born in Hessle) and it like many other Wolds Villages can compete with the best of them. Very fond of the drive into South Cave just off the freeway and the road up to Beverly Clump in early summer takes some beating.

You've done it now.

BCC, don't look at this! I tried to stop him...

I've lived in London for 40 years and my wife, who's from Poland, would love to live in Hull. She likes how friendly the people are. I don't think Hull comes across well if you only go to certain places like the city centre and the KC. I have a bungalow on the edge of Sutton and when you go there from the city centre it doesn't look good but if you walk around Sutton, go to Garden Village, or go to the outskirts of Hull and the villages further afield there's some lovely places.

When I go to different places I try to look round if I can. I know a London football fan who goes on coach straight to the KC, straight into the ground for the match, after the match he gets straight on the coach and goes back to London. He's got an opinion of Hull though!

She'd fit right in with all the Polski Skleps down Bev Rd.

I cringe at the thought away fans go home, thinking they have seen Hull....driving down Anlaby Road, and its shanty town, third world ghetto buildings

What you think of FC Basel?

Done a lot for Swiss football recently.

You're national teams coming on strong and all.

Oh god I absolutly haaate FC Basel. I know, they're are really good for swiss football but a bunch of bellends, especially their fans. I'm from Zurich and therefore nearly obliged to hate them (which I do with passion).

But yeah, it's good that they're successfull. They have by far the biggest budget in the league and the best players / prospects.

I agree with the national team. We have some really good young prospects, Shaqiri at Bayern beeing the most famous one. There are actually quite a few swiss youngsters at academies of Premier League clubs. Winning the U17 World Cup in 2009 showed that. The proplem is that our league, besides FC Basel, is too weak. Obviously, with 8 Mio inhabitants you shouldn't expect too much but still...

FC Hollywood, Arroganz Arena.. good beer though, The Hofbräuhaus am Platzl

Yep, that's what I mean!

Why?

Most grounds in the football league are located in working class areas.

It is the working class game after all.
