the one thing that worried me most about this is when the tax expert said that if we manage to somehow win this first tier tax tribunal (which minty is still confident of) then HMRC will take it to the high court, which we knew they would, but he said the high court tend not to favour the party using the "aggressive tax scheme" ie us :(
 
That was pretty interesting, thanks. I’ve always quite liked David Murray (for no particularly discernible reason), but I’m not sure I’ve ever seen him looking so awkward. He could barely stay still in his chair and his hands were quite often up by his mouth/face - which most body language boffins apparently recognise as a sign of vivid internal discomfort and/or a masking mechanism on the road to dishonesty. He seemed briefly more confident when talking about Hugh Adam and dual contracts, however, so who knows?

I've no idea what will happen - although it's amazing to see how many people are suddenly tax experts and seem able to spout off about these things with such certainty - but it appears likely to be messy and convoluted, either way.

Murray's arse must be twitching if he's calling in the press to "give his side" of the story.

Murray operated the EBT scheme, Murray sold off all Rangers assets bar the Stadium, Auchenhowie and the Car Park, Murray allowed Advocaat to spend nearly £100m on players, and MOST damning of all, Murray sold the club to the shyster where even the simplest of Internet checks would've shown the Whyte had been in charge of around 50 failed enterprises.

When Murray took over Rangers, we were probably the biggest club in Britain, we had one of the best stadiums, we'd near invented the corporate sponsorship side of the game, we were buying the best players in Britain and turning a profit. Murray got in and his ego fked it all up. He thought he was invincible, and when we lost 10IAR, like a bully he thought to himself "I'll teach them". Fast forward 15 years and the club is on life support and he's calling in favours from journos trying to fire off the opening salvos in what is sure to degenerate into a war of words as Murray tries to cover his arse and save his legacy in the face of ever mounting criticism.

He's single handedly the most destructive force that Rangers have ever encountered. A Tims dream.
 
Yet Mark Hateley last night on radio was still singing the praises of Murray , he left them debt free !!!!!!!why is clown allowed an opinion

Murray left Rangers like a drunk man lying in the gutter. Whyte then picked his pockets.
 
To be fair to murray about the google thing (I know that's not the only research you should be doing before selling a ****ing football club to someone) Whyte payed a company to wipe all his previous dealings from google searches.

Wouldn't a simple check at Companies House have revealed his dodgy background?
 
Murray must have business contacts all over the world and even more so in Scotland. Whyte's Scottish. I find it hard to believe that Murray had not heard of of Whyte and his dodgy business history.

I heard that those who paid for debentures, (basically a comfy seat with their name on and a nice couple of pints before games) have been told their debentures are now worthless. The debenture should have been a long standing guarantee for tickets and ****... But it is now gone. If true, that makes them creditors to the tune of something like £7m.

I dont know if it is true or not, which is why I am asking.

The google thing is bollocks. Whytey was well sussed the moment he came on the scene. There was loads on the web about him. Murray just didn't do what he was supposed to and Lloyds were never going to get an easier out than that.
 
SDM keeps saying the EBTs were "Discretionary", the point is that EBTs are not supposed to be at the discretion of the players but at the discretion of the Trustees, that was never the case.
