I agree. If we lose Schneids and big Vic (NO!!!!!), we're going to have to really rely on his creativity in the middle of the park and ask him to step up. He certainly has the talent and his goal for England shows he can do it. Next year, JWP, next year ..........................

I would be pleased to be proved wrong by you all. At the moment I think that Harrison Reed looks the best prospect amongst the youngsters who had broken through this season. Targett looks like he has the ability to develop too yet I feel that Reed's aggressive and committed performances for the first team do show a lot of promise.

Losing both Morgan and Wanyama would be a catastrophe. I am resigned to Morgan moving on but he has been a good servant to the club if you consider that he could have left at a much earlier stage as opposed to deciding that developing his career at Southampton was the best bet for him. Both of these players have been superb this season although I think that Davis is under-rated. Our dip in form several months ago seemed to mirror his own performances falling below his usual standard. Probably the most under-rated player in our squad, in my opinion.

With regard to the lack of goals from corners, this is something I've noticed with Saints over the last few seasons insofar that they rarely produce goals. I am of the opinion that goalkeepers seem to have improved their ability to deal with them as opposed to lack of ability / creativity from the attacking side.
