Bit of excitement, red card for denial of a goalscoring opportunity for a Ukraine defender, then in an unrelated incident Norway have the worst penalty I've ever seen saved by Pyatov. No idea why it was even given! Forren not had much to do, playing some nice balls out from the back though, and had an unopposed run down the left.
Hang on, I know no one actually cares about this game, but presumably Brazil are trying to build a team that can win the World Cup, so why is Ronaldinho involved? Or is it just because he lobbed Seaman and we can all watch loads of re runs?
I'm quite interested in this game as it's a fairly experimental lineup for both sides. I imagine Ronaldinho might be in with a shout of playing at the World Cup, though probably just an outside chance. It might be his last chance to prove he's still worth taking. He's been doing well at Mineiro, apparently.
Because he's still a very good player and has been a stand-out in Brazil in the last year or two. World Cup is only next year as well, he'll only be 34, I doubt think he'll be the centerpiece of the team but wouldn't be at all surprised to see him in the squad.
Brazil's squad is just a lot better than England's. Embarrassing that they get players like Lucas and Hulk on their bench while we start Tom Cleverley and Glen Johnson.
Haven't been paying attention to much football over the last couple of days. Did Roy call up any replacement strikers for Defoe and Welbeck?
I'd probably say they're starting players who are weaker than Hulk. I don't really rate Luis Fabiano much. Also their defense is pretty new - Luiz and Dante might not be the most solid pairing. That midfield is awesome though.
No - because he doesn't look at any players outside the top 6. Oh and how disgraceful - minutes silence for Brazil nightclub fire victims, Bobby Moore and victims of Munich air disaster disrupted.
The scary thing is that Glen Johnson was a player being touted by a few pundits to be the England player of the year for the recent award which Gerrard went on to win.
Well, Cahill and Smalling isn't exactly the most dominating defensive partnership in world football No doubt that midfield is amazing though - but I probably rate Hulk ahead of Fabiano. Hulk and Lucas would both walk into the England side.
I like Cahill a lot, but Smalling I'm not so sure about. Overall I actually think our best defence is better than any other country's, but sides like Brazil put our playmakers and forwards to shame. I reckon Walcott and Rooney could get into the Brazil squad though.
I'd love to see him have a **** game. He's always been an exciting player, but now he just seems like a diving twat and he's also very weak physically.
