International Thread?

I'm not buying that that Brazil side are the best international side in the world at the moment. The midfield for me is bang average, and will get given the run around by the best European sides in Russia.

 

I still fancy the Germans tbh.

Think that Brazil team is pretty average by their standards really.

 

At the prices Belgium at 14/1 appeals to me, I just think sooner or later their golden generation are going to click at a major tournament. On paper I think they have the best side in the world. I definitely wouldn't rule out the Germans though.

I agree about Brazil, that side is quite average by their own standards. I'm not sure any of them would get in the Brazil side that last won the WC in 02. I just don't see that team having enough to win a WC.

 

Also don't forget that Brazil got absolutely raped by Germany at the last WC. The current crop of Brazilians are a shadow of teams that have come before them.

Think they are similar to that England side and their manager can't organise a defence to save his life. Quarters at best for me.

 

Correct - Mrs G4E said I couldn’t go to Russia because of the hooligans but I could go anywhere else - hence I am off for a week to Tenerife with 7 mates.

She never found out that I treated my mates to the England v Wales tickets or how much they cost !

 

Unbelievable match, remember sitting in a pub watching it unfold and just thinking how big a thing we were witnessing.

In Brazil as well. I would claim it's the ultimate international humiliation, but we got knocked out of the Euro's by Iceland

 

They may well be, but it's more a price thing with me. When I look at the German starting line up who are 11/2 favourites, and then I look at Belgiums line up, I think Belgium have a more talented and better group of players.

Admittedly the Germans have way more experience, and a lot more pedigree in these major tournaments, but at the prices the Belgians are way overpriced for me.

If De Bruyne, Hazard and Mertens click, they are going to take some stopping IMO.
