After all the substitutions, it's very much England reserves v Germany reserves now!

France ahead 3-2....against 10 men. That should be that.

Just got home, and whilst walking home (through the Paris streets) car horns were going and bars were packed...and that was just at 2-0.

You spoke too soon, awful mistake from him proving he is not an international goalie. He makes more mistakes than green or calamity James!

When he rushed out I presume? I agree that was bad.

    3 fantastic saves though!

From former England international Danny Mills at Wembley, BBC Radio 5 live
    England 0-1 Germany
"We wait for things to happen but we need to make things happen. The players are waiting a fraction of a second and reacting to things rather than anticipating things like they would for their clubs. It is a second string German team who have gone through this game in third gear. There would be plenty more to come from this team if it was needed."

Every keeper make fantastic saves, its the absence of errors that separate the good from bad and hart does that every game.

I wouldn't want him to play for us, he's a joke like gomes was.

Great job Gibraltar, they got a 0-0 in Slovenia.

The Germans are looking much better than England now, but they're up against a terrible looking England team now!

Even when you look at the team that started, I wouldn't have played many of them and certainly not in Roy's out-dated 4-4-2 FFS!

    Walker is never International class.
    Smalling isn't either.
    Cleverley? No.
    La la boy? No.
Sturridge? Not good enough at this level and hardly ever retains possession.

Roy needs to change the system, but he won't of course. The reason Walker is caught up field so often is that he has to push up to help the hopelessly out-numbered midfield. Cole is too good to get caught out as much.

This side would do ok in the WC:

    ------------------------Hart----------------------
    Johnson----------Cahill-----Jagielka-----------Cole
    ---------------Gerrard------Carrick---------------
    Walcott-------------Wilshire------------Townsend
    -------------------Rooney-----------------------

That is a decent side. But I'm not convinced on Townsend, over hyped and very little end product imo.

I would be a bit worried about not scoring today. Including the two defensive midfielders, four defenders and goalkeeper (7 players) only one of either Mertesacker or Boateng will start in the World Cup for Germany.

Did I hear right? Italy/France/Holland and England all un-seeded for the WC?
They'll be a couple of tasty groups of death!!

Well to be honest that wasnt particually inspiring, the Germans were coasting for a lot of the game and when you think of the 1st choice players they had missing they will be a decent bet for the WC no matter that it is being played in South America.....as for England, they will do well to get out of the group stage and QF is probably best to hope for......

You can see how football has developed in the rest of the world when you compare the performances of both Chile & Germany in the last few days to how England play the game....been left way behind.

I know France and England are unseeded, bit surprised about Holland though, think they have won 9 out of 10 games the past 3-4 years. Even played the last WC final!

Looking forward the draw, could be more exciting than the tournament <laugh>

Take into account the brilliant South American sides and tough African ones and you got one helluva competition!
