I may have to see that. It's got "bad enough to be funny" written all over it, and may even range into "awful enough to be hilarious" 300 territory. "The 300" has to be the best comedy I've seen in the last 10 years.

There's a good chance it's basically "Mean Girls on an Island" - and frankly that makes me wish Channel 4 revived Shipwrecked, as that's basically the same thing.

Sissoko's worked his way back into the French squad, I see. Hope that's a confidence boost for him.

He's picked four goalkeepers and six centre-halves for games against Slovenia and Lithuania.
Is he planning on playing a back five and giving each keeper a half or something?
No balance, not enough creativity and a lack of variation. Still probably enough to get six points, though.

Let's be honest. I've counted 14 players in that squad who wouldn't get so much as a sniff of action if they had been born in France, Italy, Spain or Germany. And that was being very generous. The lack of quality is lamentable.

There's not a lot that Southgate can do about the quality of those available, but the same can be said for the other home nations.
Why not drop a keeper and two centre-backs and pick a few players that don't normally make the squad? Something different.
Albrigton, Redmond, Tom Carrolll... try something else. I'm sure that there are others that I'm missing.
