the closest saints get to internationals is Ryan Doble (Wales U21), Luke Shaw (England U17), and sometimes James-Ward-Prowse and Chris Johns
England's final qualifier for Euro 2012 is on the 7th October so that's why there is another international break that weekend. From what I can see though England don't have a game scheduled for the international break on November 12th so not sure why there are no Championship games that weekend...!!
I don't think Lallana and Cork are eligible for the U21s now Jen. I think Morgan still is though but he wasn't in the French U21 squad for their first qualifying match last week.
Saturday without league football is like a pint glass without beer. Pointless. International football on a weekend is like a pint glass with lager in it. Unpalatable.
That's the weekend scheduled for euro play offs, so if England qualify top, then there will be a friendly; probably the holland game that was cancelled.
The Tuesday after the Saturday, and no game to look forward to. Crap. This is the football season, for pete's sake, and there's no game on the horizon. I already hate this international break more now than I did the last one.
Strangely, although I miss the football I don't find it as worrying as before. In the past, if Saints were playing well I would worry that we would lose form, but this time I thought that Adkins can work on a few things and the players can have a weekend off. I have no fear that we will come back a different team. This must be what confidence feels like.
The only thing that was good about League 1 was no international breaks. Seems to be one every month and a bit now!
To be fair, there was plenty of good in League One. Of course, it's better in The Championship, simply because our team is within sniffing distance of the Premiership. but if the Premiership was half as competitive as League One, it would be a damn sight better than it is now.
