1-1 Senegal goal was coming
They look stronger, faster and more fluent than England. England have greater experience and nous. But if they had Rice and Kane, they would look a much better team by far.
I’m watching the cricket

You'd think with World Cup qualification already in the bag and no further rounds of qualification on the horizon, Japan would take it easy on Indonesia in their final match

They tonked them 6-0 in a match where they had 71% possession and managed to get off 22 shots (10 on target), and even then they subbed off Daichi Kamada at half time

Outclassed
No improvement under Tuchel
Not sure what the point of picking Walker and Henderson is. Not good enough any longer and will only be worse in 12 months time
And still no nearer to working out who plays in the no.10 and wide forward positions with so many options. Nobody has put their case forward
And the defence has been exposed again when up against pace and movement
As I said, I’m watching the cricket

Awful waste of time in all honesty.

I watched about 50 minutes before turning it off. Until tonight I'd forgotten why I have no interest in the international game any more...<laugh> <laugh>

Maybe Southgate was actually better at this than people actually thought!

The USA lost 4-0 at home to the Swiss last night, conceding all four goals in just over half an hour of play.

I questioned his decision at the time and nothing has changed since. I think he is wholly unsuited to international football.

Poch has free reign to experiment until next summer, given MAGAritaville didn't have to qualify

That being said, the only reason anyone will be watching their matches next summer is if they're drawn in the same group as someone like France or China, just to see if their anthem gets booed into oblivion in their own backyard

He's the type of manager who thrives from having the time to work steadily and consistently with his group - one of the best coaches on the training ground in this regard.

We saw this in how he took around 1.5 years for things to really start clicking here, and tbh his time at Chelsea followed a similar trajectory.

International football will never give him the time he needs to make a difference.
