We’re actually gonna ****house it, can just feel it.

Terrible football for 95% of the tournament and relied on either individual moments or penalties whilst Spain have destroyed just about everyone they’ve played.

Screams a 1-0 England win with our only shot on target.

More like 1-0 with no shots on target. Own Goal to walk the golden boot.

I'm glad I'm in France for this. Quiet day by the sea tomorrow on the Brittany coast where England staged a proper fight to beat the French.

Well, I thought that was just fabulous. The second half was dull until the end, and Southgate and England got lucky, again. But England under Southgate actually had a go in the first half. What got me so annoyed was that for all Southgate's success, England had both failed to win anything and failed to try to play football. You never need to do both. There were a number of stretches of five minutes in the first half that had more entertainment value for me than the rest of England under Southgate put together. Granted I was tired, but I actually dropped off a couple of times watching England against Switzerland--and people said that was relatively good.

Uh oh! Trouble for Rodrigo Bentancur and probably Spurs, knowing our luck. He seems to have been front and centre in the mass brawl after Uraguay's loss to Colombia.

Given the circumstances, especially the presence of players' families, invluding young children, some leniency is probably due...but it appears that he may have thrown a glass bottle into the crowd. That's impossible to defend, no matter the rights and wrongs of matters up to that point.

Hopefully, any punishment is restricted to international football, but he'd be well advised to stay away from Colombia for a long, long time and getting out-of North Carolina and the US wouldn't be a bad idea, either.
