Pele McTominay, for those beyond the wall.
Maybe Ten Hag could play him up front instead of Martial? At least he'd run about a bit.

Perisic racking up assists.
Romero putting in dominant displays.
The Welsh Mafia rekindling.

He has done well in an advanced midfield role for Utd on occasions. I remember his two goals in the first few minutes v Leeds a couple of seasons ago.

But ten Hag is just looking at what he doesn’t do - and has decided to carry on with the policy of recruiting players who he thinks fit the profile he wants and getting rid of those who don’t.

Other managers might think differently. Clough signed Birmingham City centre forward Kenny Burns and played him at centre half, where he was the best in the league.

Utd are overloaded with attacking midfielders, which makes signing Mount a bit odd.
You already had Fernandez, who is arguably your best player, Eriksen and McTominay.
Deciding to sell the Scotsman would be understandable, but you sold Fred, instead.

I suspect things will look different with Amrabat and Hojlund in the side.
The balance should be better and they're both quality players.
The constant off-field controversies won't help, though.

Ukraine through England like a knife through butter. Then Henderson moving like an old man in their penalty area.
