Hits the defender's foot, the post, then the keeper. Fantastic run, but Jozwiak gives up far too easily and leaves him one-on-one with Bereszynski.

Looking forward to Spain-Sweden. Pedri and Dani Olmo are two young Spanish players who are building reputations so be interesting to see how they get on. Apparently Kristoffer Olsson is one of the men to watch for the Swedes.

Hard to know what to make of this Spain team. They keep the ball nicely but play more long passes and crosses than the Spanish golden generation did. Can’t help but feel they lack a bit of the stardust those teams possessed. And a cutting edge up front.

Definitely the latter, should be about 3/4-0 up at least albeit Sweden did have a great chance.

Mad though, this team is the definition of a very good side yet when you do actually compare it to the 2010-2012 team it looks like a bunch of Sunday League amateurs. Del Bosque must have been in managerial heaven with the players he had, the midfielders alone - Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas, Silva, Busquets and Xabi Alonso... You’d be tempted just forfeiting the game before KO when seeing that lot <laugh>

If they were an England cricket team, Boycott and Edrich would be opening. Effective and technically very good, but incredibly boring.

Spain really lack a cutting edge but they look better with Thiago and Moreno on. Pedri looks some player, some wonderful passes and movement. Sweden great value for a draw here though, they’ve defended manfully.
