Mourinho talked about England needing to pick a Son-like player to get the best out of Kane in the same feature that he picked this team.
It's not a bad side, but it lacks pace and I think that Rice and Phillips is overkill.
I think it's excessively protecting the back four, though. A creative player in there would be better, for me.It’s not who I’d pick but I assume the logic in Rice and Phillips is twofold. Firstly if you’re going to pick a 2 of Mings and Stones you need the protection. Secondly it releases the FBs to provide that pace and width because Foden and Grealish will come inside.

Ward-Prowse would've been my choice, but he's not there, of course. There's not an obvious player for it now.
I suspect that it would leave Kane isolated somewhat and he'll drop deep, but nobody will go past him and into the space.

It's a nice gesture and I'm sure that they'll all appreciate it, but there's one glaring mistake in there, in my opinion...

I expected better from you Spurf, being an honorary Scotsman. Those aren't crisps, they're shortbread fingers from a Scottish company. The USA owned crisps from Walkers who also feature Gary Lineker not very appropriate for the Scots

You were on the right track, though. Johnnie Walker Scotch is owned by a company based in London and they shut down their Kilmarnock plant.
Is it still Scotch if it's not Scottish? It's about £130-140 a bottle, either way.
The eyesight is not what it was. Sorry Walkers shortbread. I assume the whisky is still made in Scotland if not then it it's not Scotch. J&B is a London company (last time I looked) but it's only blended in London from whisky made in Scotalnd.About the same price, funnily enough. The eyesight is not what it was. Recently the Japanese finally had one of their whiskies voted best in the world Yamazaki. It's not cheap either.
