I think I'm in "The Invasion of the Body Snatchers" now. Not many years back everyone knew that Sterling was useless as an international. Indeed, I watched the first match of the last Euros in a pub where after several woeful attempts at doing something, every time he touched the ball the crowd just laughed. Yet somehow since then the critics have been replaced by facsimiles who seem to think that he is beyond criticism, no matter how crap he does, how wasteful he is or who he punches in the canteen. It's really odd how there is nil criticism and regardless of what he does (or doesn't do), he's apparently one of the first names on the teamsheet. Last night wasn't actually a particularly bad game by his international standards, but nevertheless he appeared to be doing things, but actually wasn't contributing much. Wasteful is probably the best term, but again not mentioned. Rant over. I assume I too will soon be replaced with someone with the "right opinion". Similar idea in "World's End". Praise Raheem, for the greater good.
