Puts a different spin on it.
Not necessarily a good one, though

One thing that I find particularly troubling with the wrestling industry is people work through injuries for losing their spot on the card and the potential loss of income if they do, which often sees them aggravating the injuries and miss a significantly longer period of time as a result all because they want to be seen as one of the boys

The same is certainly true of football, where players play through injuries far too often, sometimes by choice and sometimes because they're pumped full of painkillers to get through matches as Fernando Torres was at Saltypool, and it can and usually does come back to haunt the team sooner or later

With the size and composition of squads nowadays, it's largely unnecessary.
Davies is injured? Chuck Cerkin or Lavinier in the squad and either sub them on or use one of our other defenders.
Certainly not worth risking a long-term problem for Davies for a league game just before the international break.

Do managers actually play obviously injured players because of their previously poor decisions? Get the wheelchairs ready!

You can always watch Hearts losing to Brora Rangers.
Well, you can't because I can't even find a steam for it, but it's quite ****ing funny.
According to the BBC match tracker, there hasn't been a single shot - not shot on target, shot - in Greenock's match with Dunfermline

Either they can't be arsed to follow the match, or Kazaiah Sterling is going to be with us until he's 90

One thing even the haters need to appreciate is that Jose looks after his club and isn’t afraid to put noses out of joint...refreshing, and makes a change from the fence sitting, arse splintery dogshit some blokes/managers come out with.

Judging by the actual stats on BT, it doesn't seem like they missed much!
Greenock had 4 shots, 0 on target, while Dunfermline had 15 shots, 4 on target. Awful from both.
Kazaiah Sterling wasn't in the squad, so I assume he's injured again, unfortunately.

He was in the starting lineup, but was hooked after 70 minutes (unless there's a second Sterling at the club)

We're never going to get a fee for him, are we?

Paskotsi’s started for Estonia, go on the boy. They’re currently 1-0 up against the Czech too. Looks like he’s playing LB though instead of his natural CB role.

Bale with an assist for Wales away at Belgium, some slick one touch football there:
