I don't think it does, this is actually one of the most well modded boards on the forum and I think as Spurs fans we're lucky to have such a good board. You're probably just a bit more sensitive than others on certain issues, personally I don't find what HBIC said to be over the mark, a bit dark perhaps but then dark humour is right up my street, hence why I spend half my time here and half my time on the prem board.

I don’t mind dark humour and probably can joke about a lot of things that others wouldn’t but in this day and age I think there needs to be a zero tolerance policy on anything racist or xenophobic because it’s the little things that lead to the big things. Like I said if a non Spurs fan came on here and said anything about Jewish people that quite rightly they would be banned immediately but that should be the same for any derogatory language shouldn’t it?

It depends on what they said I guess. If they made holocaust/ gas/ nazi remarks then absolutely ban them. If they said something like "Jews are tight bastards" or something along those lines I'd find it pretty funny - and as someone with some Jewish heritage too I'd take zero offence to it either.

I definitely wouldn't want to see the board become some insult-free happy-dappy haven though, it'll kill some of the decent banter we can have.

The guy really is a viking. Presuming this was after the Iceland game the other day so likely in the North/ Baltic Sea. I’ve had a dip in Devon around December and November in the past and that was bad enough, North/ Baltic is a whole different level.

Slovenian ****wit
Korean national inability

Again, is this really appropriate or acceptable language?
Somebody from Slovenia being a daft ****wit who can't tell his armpit from his elbow is not a national generalisation, it's fair comment
Saying that Korean films have a crippling inability to have a satisfying ending is not a national generalisation, it is a comment informed by watching numerous Korean films including the following
Sympathy for Mr vengeance
Oldboy
Lady Vengeance
I'm A Cyborg, But That's Okay
Thirst
The Handmaiden
Parasite
Snowpiercer
Okja
The Host
Train to Busan
The King of Pigs
A Tale of Two Sisters
The Good, The Bad, The Weird
Natural City
Nowhere to Hide
...and, with the exception of Oldboy - which I specified in my post- every single film on that list has an ending that can either be described as "flat" or "the culmination of the film going horribly off a cliff in the third act"

In other words, my "language" is a perfectly fair description, either of Korean cinema or a referee who ****ed us over in less than thirty seconds of the Champions league final kicking off

Don't watch that if you don't want to get angry...

Completely disagree. The nationality of the referee has no relevance, just call him a ****wit if you must.

Actually it does

Let's be honest here, every World Cup there's at least one match that is rendered either bizarrely watchable or completely unwatchable as a direct result of having match officials from somewhere which apparently operates under completely different rules than the rest of the world, either because a South American ref is letting an MMA bout break out without reaching for their cards once, refs from the US or Japan giving yellows for straight red offences, one time a Saudi ref would rush towards players and shove a yellow card directly in their face on several occasions during a match (and somehow not get headbutted), and then there's referees from some football backwater who either issue two yellows to a player but don't send them off or think that Nigel de Jong recreating Ong Bak in the World Cup final doesn't warrant anything more than a yellow

And the same has to be said for continental competitions, because in a Champions League final between two Premier League teams I don't think it smacks of entitlement to suggest that UEFA used one of their best-regarded referees, be it Bjorn Kuipers, Felix Brych, Cuneyt Cakir or whoever - instead we got somebody who had been moonlighting in the Qatari and Saudi leagues in the 2017-18 season, but if I said "some berk who goes to Mark Clusterfuck for refereeing advice" nobody would know who I was talking about - and let's be honest, this season I actually do have to specify his nationality, because if I said "daft ****wit who can't tell his armpit from his elbow" there's half a dozen Premier League referees who that applies to

I’m not on about ****wit.

Call me a snowflake but I don’t want to see derogatory national generalisations.

This Spurs forum seems to let things slide which people should be called out on. Guess it’s just me who finds that sort of behaviour and language unacceptable though eh.
I think the population of the USA has just proved that it has 70 million ****wits and in my experience all counties have them. Sometimes it needs to be pointed out. Your opinion may differ and this is a forum for opinions. As you know we draw the line at personal attacks on other posters, and it seems to work.
