England have been playing better since.... Henderson went off <laugh>

If that's a foul, then why isn't it a penalty for the defender intentionally blocking him of just before it? Ludicrous decision.
Also, Kane's just never getting a penalty at Wembley while we're playing there, is he?

I'm not happy that Son is now with the full squad given that he has just played with the U23s. Give the man a break! Still, at least he's keeping his fitness level up.

Just caught 10 minutes of TalkShite on the radio. These guys must be reading off the same sheet because they all seem to think the same. First Pearce in his summary of the game talking about what we learned didn't make many points but one of the few was that Dier will never replace Henderson on that performance, and a few minutes later on the Sports Bar Goldstein made the point that Dier will never replace Henderson. Now Dier wasn't great tonight but I really want to know... what the hell does Henderson do apart from pass backwards? It's like when a few pundits say things like Henderson demonstrated in the world cup how important he is, they all carry on saying the same thing, even if they aren't really sure what he did. I guess it's easier than having to justify saying something different. A classic by Cundy followed in a brief discussion over whether Sterling or Rashford should play. He said that because of his ability to turn the defence and run he'd have Sterling - despite the fact that I'm not sure we've ever seen him do that for England and that Rashford did do exactly that in this match!

Under an hour gone and Spain have hit 5 against a Croatia with a midfield of Rakatic, Modric, Brozavic and Kovacic. Wow!

Classic demo of how for elite sportsmen, so much is in the head
rather than in the body. The Spain squad today is not much different
than Russia 2018, and I doubt they have all had the rest from
a preceding long season.

Similarly for Madrid in the CL last season (group vs KO stage
performance) .

Is the verdict not yet in on Henderson and Sterling !!??

They appear to be much better when playing for their clubs,
because they are in teams with OVERSEAS players who
are far superior to their England PL counterparts.
