Do you think this will be a wake-up call for Dele and Dier? Already yesterday's men?

No doubt the 10Ks per week club wages, paid rain or shine,
will dull any pain of not being called up for a Euro tournament that
England will not win, with or without them.

Greenwood’s pulled out of the Euros squad. Not sure he would’ve played too much anyway, may not even have made the initial cut.

Squad announced. He’s taking all 4 RBs.

My guess is that he sees TAA and Trippier as good options as more attacking RBs in some games, and also sees TAA as capable of covering midfield, and Walker can cover CB.

From that I’d pick, in a 433

D.Henderson
James Maguire Stones Shaw
Henderson Rice Mount
Foden Kane Sterling

That England squad excites me. Could easily win the euros. Although centre half does worry me slightly

Lots of exciting attacking options but yeah, the defence is worrying. As much as I’d like to see us play 433 or 4231 I think Southgate will stick with the more conservative 3 at the back, with Walker as a CB. I think he’s most likely to pick:

Pickford
Walker Maguire Stones
TAA Henderson Rice Shaw
Foden Kane Sterling

Though I always feel we play less exciting football like this so I’m not sold on it. CB is a major worry though, if you could drop in the peak Ferdinand/Terry partnership then this team would be elevated for sure.

Think I’d go for:

Pickford
Trent/ James, Maguire, Stones, Shaw
Rice, Henderson
Foden, Mount, Grealish
Kane

We all know it’s gonna be some five at the back bollocks though whilst keeping the two DMs as well.
