Kane, Saka, Bellingham and Foden scored 114 club goals between them last season. I don't think that they're the problem. Replacing Alexander-Arnold with Gallagher will add some bite in the midfield, but it doesn't address the balance problem. There's no width down the left and no quality passing from the deeper midfielders.
Glorious ball from Kane to Saka and he held it up well, but where was the support? Way too slow to get up there.
The first Kane pass in two games. Kane one of the finest passers in football and where does Southgate put him
Shearer missing the obvious point by suggesting pace alongside Kane by adding another striker. We've seen the best part of a decade of that coming from a dangerous winger, Son. Stick Gordon on and have him and Saka go past Kane and offer him options in behind.
In the last 3 minutes, the pundits on my stream have at different stages suggested we bring on Watkins, Eze, Mainoo, Palmer and Bowen. It's a good thing they aren't paid to operate heavy machinery.
Eze, Bowen and Watkins replace Foden, Kane and Saka. 58 club goals last season coming off the bench. Will that help? Should be more balanced.
Could end up working out but that triple sub doesn’t sit right with me. 1-1 with 20 to go and you take Kane off? Nah!
