Trippier at LB is a huge worry.

He's had an awful season and is past his best imo. Playing on his weaker side is a huge risk.

Gallagher plays deeper for England though. He was practically playing Rice’s role at times on Monday. Grealish tends to on the left for England. Very different players.

Weirdly Grealish's City move has probably had a negative effect on his England career. He's had great success at City but we've seen nowhere near the player we saw at Villa. The guy at Villa would light up the place with the freedom of the pitch especially as he got to roam a lot from a central position but the guy at City is just a cog in a system that's become a bit of a back/ side pass merchant from outwide.

It's no secret I've been a fan of his for years now but I think him being dropped was the right call when factoring how many in-form wide forwards/ attacking mids there are at present. The "Villa Grealish" storms into the England squad though.

I think it may depend on the opposition. Wharton retains the ball better and would be preferable against Spain or Italy where England might need to make the most of what possession they have. Against an opponent who sits in and is hard to break down, Mainoo’s energy and ability to get into good attacking positions - and to finish well - may get him the nod.
But overall , Wharton is the classier player.
Both, however are very inexperienced. I fear in certain games Southgate may trust neither and instead drop Bellingham deeper and bring in Gallagher. He may well go with Gallagher from the start.
But whoever he picks, England have good options in midfield and attack. It’s just the defence which worries me.

No James, no Chilwell, no White, no Maguire, no Dier, no Phillips, no Henderson, no Mount, no Rashford, no Sterling, no Sancho.
    A changing of the guard.

Killing off his granny was probably not the most positive career-defining moment to be honest! <laugh>

Both will benefit massively just from being in the squad, I wouldn’t expect either to start games tbh.

As for winning it, England have a chance but I really can’t look beyond France, their squad depth is utterly ridiculous

This is why you don't select Arsenal keepers

Especially ones that don’t even play.

Gemma Collins could’ve got down quicker to save that. Mind you just sticking her in between the posts you’d have trouble scoring.

This is apparently almost our first team. Only Palmer looks dangerous.

I see what Southgate is doing here.

Play so bad so expectations are dramatically lowered

    “Wembley is quiet”…

Aye, mate, that’s what happens when you give talented players to Gareth Southgate.

Serious question… Who’s going to win a trophy first? Spurs or England?

I mean Spurs won a trophy several decades before England did...
