2-1 England. Mistake at the back allows Hughes to pick out Abraham, who taps it in.
 
It will be good to see Will Hughes in the Premier League next season.
He seems to have been around for quite a while and I think he might be better suited to the style.
Could be quite a bargain for Watford, as long as he can avoid any more injury problems.

Chalobah's groin strain has flared up, again.
Murphy comes on to replace him, which will mean some re-organisation.
No real like-for-like in the squad, I think.
 
2-2. It's been coming.
Substitute Platte heads home from a corner, after a long period of pressure.
Not outball for England at the moment and it's all Germany.
 
Redmond replaces Gray, as Boothroyd tries to restore some momentum.
Something needs to change or this will get away from them.
 
Germany think it's 3-2, but the linesman has his flag up.
I think he's right, but that's a really tight decision.

Looks like it'll be a long half hour for the England youngsters right now, though.
Some real tired legs out there and they'll probably be playing for penalties.
Not much on, even on breaks and set-pieces, towards the end of the game.
 
2nd elbow to throat assault by a German brings only a freekick. The one in the first half should have been a penalty.

Massive chance for Baker in injury time in extra-time.
All Germany up til that point and he had all day to control the ball and put it away.
Hits it wide instead, so it's 2-2 at HT.
 
Does Boothroyd know that he's got an extra sub in extra-time?
Edit: Makes it as I post! <laugh> Iorfa replaces... someone. Defender.
 
Iorfa might be on at right-back, but he puts in a very respectable cross with his first contribution.
Swift heads wide, but that's much better stuff.
 
Chambers should do better there, for me.
Keeper totally lost that and he should be able to get a header on target from there.
Not sure if someone would've got back or not, though.
