Predictions for the World Cup then guys?

Winners: Said Germany initially but Tots rightly pointed out about the climate in South America, so I'll now go for Brazil.
    Runners Up: Spain.
    Third Place: Germany.
Where England will be knocked out: Group Stage.

Lacking in quality with Neymar and Oscar in the team? I wouldn't say it's workman like either, it's just that they use players who all work well together. In the past they'd have had Oscar as a defensive midfielder alongside Paulinho and Hulk, Neymar, Robinho/Pato and Bernard all ahead of them making them unbalanced with attacking players who are just all shoe horned into the same side with little thought for defence.

I wouldn't say Argentina have no chance either, they've got the best player in the World! Just imagine how wild we'd be going with just a couple of the talents they've got :D

!!! Can't agree with that, I'll be surprised if he even starts most of their games.

We can do this as a separate thread after the draw next month. Happy to do it, if no one else wants to?

When the draw was made, I thought we could do

    Group Winner 1pt per team
    Last 16 - 1pt
    Last 8 - 2pts
    last 4 - 4pts
    Final 2 - 6pts per team
    Winner - 8pts

    ?

When I think of Brazil and their style, I think of Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, and this current Brazil team are more disciplined in set up, not as exciting but I expect they will win, yet their current team isn't anywhere near that type of attacking quality.

But if we're comparing Brazil with other countries today then sure they have the players.

Argentina have fabulous players but just not a complete team for me. just thinking of their talents, Messi, Tevez, Ageuro, Lamela, di Maria. Lavezzi.......... It will go wrong!

Just reading them names and Brazil aren't in the same class attacking wise but overall are a better team.

Could wait until the squads have been announced. If Messi or Henderson were to get injuries their sides chances change dramatically!

The thing is they have some decent defenders, Zabaleta, Garay, Masch, Champagnero.

But it will still go wrong, always does!

    Seriously?

Reus (in my opinion) is one of the best in the world at the moment. The guy is sheer class, he reminds of a slower version of Bale. I'd be very surprised if he isn't a key starting player in Brazil for Ze Germans.

Yeah but their defence is very impressive. Marcelo and Alves are top full backs and they have a number of quality centre backs, including Luiz who'd probably be considered one of the best centre backs in the World if he played for a club side that set up in a similar style to Brazil.

I think we're watching different players. Tearing apart lower teams in the Bundesliga is one thing but I was very unimpressed with him against Arsenal and England. I still think he's a great player but Ozil and Muller are much better at the moment, in my opinion.

Their manager is a fan of Liverpool lucas, if Sandro misses out to that twerp then you will have to support Argentina instead.
