I am not anti international racing, I just cannot stand the way average European horse's are hyped up as superstars for winning tin pot races like the BC Mile. It may be worth a lot of money, but the actual quality of the race, is barely equal to a G2 in Europe, same rules apply to all North American turf racing. Its just an easy way for G2/G3 Euro horse's to get a G1 on there CVs. The likes of Joshua Tree, Dangerous Midge, Redwood and the mighty Debussy, have absolutely no hope of winning a G1 in Europe, yet they are G1 horse's over there. That's because the turf racing is second rate over there.

As for this subject, I have always maintained that Australia have the best turf sprinters in the world, whilst Europe is the best in the world for Turf middle distance horse's. The only thing American racing is best at, is dirt, as ourselves and Australia don't Have any top races on dirt
