Is this based on the registered 25?

If so it's skewed as some teams use their u21s quite regularly, which don't need to be registered obviously

 

Yeah, it would be helpfull to know exactly what the figures are based on.

I'd also like to know the average age of every teams most common starting 11, rather than the entire squad.

 

There's a little disclaimer saying they based it on the 25 + any u21s who have played a full 90mins last year

 

90 mins in the prem or including the cup games too?

 

So that wouldn't include Gosling, Ferguson, Vuckic, Abeid, Sammy or Ranger. So our average age is actually probably the youngest.

 

We've only got 3 players over 30 that I know of (Harper, Smith, Lovenkrands), and possibly all 3 could be off this time next year.

True but probably not to that extent.

 

Maybe though, going to be honest don't have a clue about most squads in the league, only first 11.

 

That is true, especially teams like Norwich who have just got promoted and have made a lot of new signings from the Championship.

 

A better way to do this would be to take into account how much game time each player gets, and weight the effect of their age on the average depending on that. I'm sure many teams have players over 30 who just won't be used, but are registered anyway.
