Article in itself is nothing special, but the table halfway down, showing how the last few seasons´ relegated teams fared at the final outcome, is quite interesting, especially for those who think relegated teams automatically have an advantage over established Championship sides. Whatever advantage they might have had a few years ago, isn´t immediately apparent here. If they had that much advantage, one, or at least I would, expect at least two out of three relegated sides, to regularly go straight back up again.

Very interesting RBF. Rafa's view was underlined early in the season when Newcastle struggled and we worked our way to the top in the first 12 matches. Newcastle were adjusting to the new demands while we had many players who had succeeded in the Championship two seasons back. Perhaps our success became our weakness though as the hard grind and competitiveness of this league took it's toll. I do still think that relegated teams have an advantage, but there are 21 other teams out there desperate to do well, some for promotion, some for survival. Concentration and competitiveness are essential qualities and any let up leaves you vulnerable. Hopefully we've learned that lesson and can push on now.

I´ll reserve judgement on that for now, until we´ve got safely past the next two. <whistle>

Judgement still very much in reserve after that, whatever you call it, yesterday, Ipswich will be licking their lips in anticipation, and with good reason.
