Attitude? Hesford looked like he couldn't be arsed most of the time...fat ****er virtually relegated us on his own...Finnigan was even worse- utter tosser who stank the place out and looked he couldn't care less. At the other end of the spectrum we had the likes of Roberts and Askew- midget maestros who never shirked, never hid, and should have played at a higher level.
Good call with Finnigan, he had an abominable attitude. And didnt he go on to be a highly dodgy agent who got jailed or something? Didnt Askew play at a higher level for Newcastle or where we in the same division as them?
Billy Askew was my fav player back then. He did go to Newcastle whilst they were in the top flight, (from memory)but made only six appearances (wiki). I'm not sure why (injury?). I think he played alongside Billy Whitehurst. A much lesser known fact is that chap in our very own Hull hell and happiness's avatar is the ginner himself.
I think that's more kicking people because he can't keep up with them but I can see the point. Maybe I was too taken by Macca's wild celebrations. I remember him running the length of the pitch at Spurs in the league cup like he'd scored the winner in the World Cup final...
