My 1 year old son can count up to the number of international caps Herrera has....but then counting to 0 shouldn't be too tricky even for a baby
One thing that has changed from last season is that we are difficult to beat at home (and away too) . We have a large number of draws and we have the best goals against after Southampton and Chelsea. That's an improvement from Moyes. At OT last season, we couldn't be sure of the performance and any team will come to get at least a point, that's the advantage of 3-5-2. A defensive team against that formation will gave little joy but on the other hand we don't score either. The best solution IMO is to vary the formations according to the opposition. Against a good attacking team away from home, a 3-5-2 makes sense. Against a poor side at OT playing with 10 defenders it does not make any sense.
He doesnt have the personnel to play any other way. Uniteds defence is gash so it needs protecting, when he tries a more attacking formation, they concede 5 to Leicester.
It's ok fellas, we're 3 points ahead of Moyes last season. The magic number is 22 games this week. That's how it works isn't it?????? Proof that LVG and United clearly performing better than last season
hehe, Was wondering if anyone would pick up on that. Seriously though, with the personnel he has in defence, the fact that you have the 3rd best defensive record IS astonishing!
Ahhhh yes ofcourse. No no no hold on, but unfortunately Moyes hasn't been doing too well since beating Barca. 2 draws and 2 losses. #whatadifferenceaweekmakes
Isn't it? With all the injuries and midfielders masquerading as defenders he has done a good defensive job. But with all the defenders coming back he should look at playing the 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 that United are used to playing. The Southampton match was embarrassing. No shots on target at home with so much attacking talent? May be LVG is too clever for his own good. He has a world class player in Di Maria. Why play him out of position and not in his most effective position? We were more effective when our defenders were injured and he had very little choice of players. We have a run of winnable home matches coming up and a few reasonable away ones too. We should be able to build a good total otherwise we can forget about CL .
City 3 points worse than last season, Chelsea three points up on last season (like us ) with the help of the amazing Costa, Fabregas and Matic. Other than that last seasons top six are well down.
What frustrates is that we've drawn more games than anyone in the top 7/8 teams. Games like West Brom and Villa let us down.We really need to turn those draws into wins from now on. That requires a more pacy and creative midfield selection.
Drawn more than anyone in top 11. Third best defence but only fith best attack. We deffinately need to speed up attack.
