On the other hand, jose did very considered and precise business and got Fabregas, Matic and Costa, exactly what the little horse needed to gain you an extra 3 points over the same stage last year

 

Exactly. Those 3 extra points after 21 games mean we are top now.

If they give us 5 extra points after 38 games we will win the league.

We had also not played City Liverpool Everton Spurs United (and Saints) away by Matchday 21 at this point last season.

I suppose thats the one thing people who say United haven't improved their points total are failing to do.
Comparing what games you have played after 21 games to last season.

We have definitely had a harder first half to the season than we had last year. (All the big teams away, City, United, liverpool, Everton) all but Arsenal (who never beat us home or away anyway with Jose in charge).

Has anyone actually compared United first 19 games this season to last season in terms of what teams they have played home and away?

 

I haven't but can we just assume Moyes had much harder fixtures

Home or away though?
In the first half of this season Chelsea met all the big teams bar Arsenal away. (United, Pool, Everton, City)
You have played City away right? Chelsea at OT, what about Pool and L'Arse?

 

Arsenal away - Won Not an easy ficture on paper.

RS home - lost 3-0 last season. Won 3-0 this.

City - away. Lost last season and this.

Chelsea - home. draw last and this season.

 

Pool at home, L'Arse away. Last season it was Pool away, L'Arse at home in the first half. Won both this season, having lost vs Pool and drawn away at Arse last season.

 

L'Arse seem to have a lot of trouble getting results against Chelsea and United in the last few years.
