The Duomo Piazza is kind of the tourist/shopping hub of Milan. As well as the dominating Duomo itself, you have the main department store(Harrods equivalent) and the spectacular indoor shopping arcade the Galleria. As a consequence this is where the rich tourists head and the food and drink prices reflect that.
Also there is not many drinking bars in that area. It's all very food and coffee centric.
I don't know them myself, but I expect there are better areas for drinking/nightlife
Yeah that backs up what I've read so far as well. Seems a decent place to congregate but not for actually drinking in bars. The Naviligo (sp?) canals area looks pretty decent.
I should hope I can actually get affordable flights/hotel before worrying too much about this tbh

Buzzing. Wasn't originally going as my son couldn't get time off work but all the talk about "it'll be ok going on your own" convinced me. Went to Steau which was amazing. Did Anderlect as well, so showing my age now! Just need to get return sorted now but not so important!
