I think it would be helpful if we re published the ground rules of the Spurs site. These are what the Spurs moderators adhere to. Your comments are welcome 1. Personal attacks on other posters are not allowed. 2. Other posters should always be treated with respect regardless of your view of their opinion. 3. Opinions are not moderated 4. Attacks on views and teams or any other aspect of opinion is part of the board. 5. We are only responsible for the Spurs board and these rules are entirely local to it. 6. On rival boards other rules will apply. You will need to familiarize yourself with those rules.
IMHO these rule are why the board is still doing well. The Chelsea and arsenal boards used to busy but are pretty dead and it would be a real shame for that to happen here
In their case it's because those boards had mods who thought it was still the internet circa 2000, where all too often mods were some of the board's worst trolls yet had admin privileges
Sounds delicious but can you please clarify #4. I think you’re saying we’re allowed to attack views and teams. Is there a line? Thanks
I'd say that the line is #2. Feel free to disagree with an opinion, but be respectful of the person posting it. Play the ball, not the man.
We have discussed this and the general feeling is that we should continue in an open and transparent way. Thanks for the input, it's good to examine practices every so often to make sure they are still fit for purpose.
