I've just found it. Vim made a comment. King replied. King wasn't abusive or aggressive. Vim went off in a huff. It's the worst banning I can remember seeing. Basically at least one of you mods on here has a vendetta against the guy and decided to ban King, for nothing. Why dont you mods show the posters on here the comment that King has been banned for? You wont because it doesn't exist. Blatantly abusing mod powers here and picked on someone
Aye possibly. It's either ridiculously OTT and somehow they've never realised... Or, they dont like the guy and have just used any excuse to get rid of him
There's some really good posters on this board, King is one of them and others you will know from wilder places such as RCL, Dier, Spurly etc. Unfortunately there are also a few who like the comfort of an echo chamber.
I've always maintained this is the best board on here. They all seem like a decent bunch of lads (Don't think there's any fanny on here). King has been targeted here. Not cool.
Yeah that little worm loves editing my posts and putting in ban requests. Have you seen the pictures he puts up? Young girls, always young girls. He's a pervert who should really have his hard drive checked and of course, his cnut kicked in.
Yep seen em, he's a wrong un without doubt. The thing I love most about this site is that on most boards with adult posters you can have A slanging match A real laugh A very good conversation All with the same person on the same thread without any crying Should be mentally stable adults only
So that the **** stirring in this thread does not go unchallenged and becomes accepted as truth, let me correct a few items. No one. NO ONE. came crying to us. Any conversations we have had were instigated by us. King was not banned just for the exchange with Vim we were already in conversation over other posts and we invited him to engage with us so that we could try and sort out issues he had. He didn't want to do that. Instead he kept on arguing in personal and demeaning ways. It certainly wasn't for his views, I actually agree with him on lots of issues, but more the way he expressed them. The atmosphere on here was getting toxic and we believed King was adding to that, so we decided on a short cooling off period. I don't want to be banning people but the 3 of us have clearly stated the sort of board we want to have as Moderators. And it ain't the PL board. If people want a different place then I am happy to stand down and you can vote in a different vision.
I endorse what SpursDisciple has said here completely. We will never ban anyone for their views and believe me there are any number of views I dislike. I said this thread was not about KingHotspur but a number of you have made it so. You are still talking as if King has been banned because of his views. If I say it louder will you get it? WE DON'T BAN PEOPLE BECAUSE OF THEIR VIEWS. If you want to behave like a **** there are many places on this site where you can indulge it. The Spurs board has grown because we simply enforced a no personal insult policy. We have some really good debates on here from all sides and points of view and I personally hope it continues in the same way. We will continue to enforce our no personal insult rule just as long as you want us to. Have a look at some of the other boards on this site and if the majority want to change the ethos here just vote for it and we will stand down.
