Why Amadou is a real Coup for us https://soccersouls.com/norwich-cit...-let-farke-experiment-with-the-team-dynamics/ Not only plays as a defensive midfielder but can also play in the heart of the defence, think that is all positions covered now from Goalkeeper to Striker.
Michael Bailey apparently has an "exclusive"....Stuart Webber to get a new contract. Perhaps the best transfer dealing we could make.
I like this quote from Amodou. Sounds eager to fit in with his new teammates. "I look forward to getting to know everybody better. The sooner I do that, the sooner I become part of the team."
Sounds like there could be some big deals confirmed for various teams tomorrow - Tierney and David Luiz to Arsenal, Lo Celso and Sessegnon to Spurs, Lukaku to Inter and Scott Carson to Man City!
Might also mean those three get a bit more license to roam in their more creative attacking mid function. Leitner in particular which i'm quite excited about.
This is an intriguing signing. We certainly needed a replacement for Tettey, but Amadou is more than that; he's the only signing we've made this summer who I see as an odds-on starter from the moment he proves himself match fit. The others all strengthen the squad and provide like for like competition; but Amadou is a genuine step up in quality compared to both TT and AT. The intriguing question is what kinds of tweaks DF sees this as enabling him to make compared to the patterns and strategies we have become familiar with over the last two seasons.
Not expecting much activity but here's the link to the Pink'Un deadline day page. https://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/canaries-transfer-deadline-day-premier-league-blog-1-6203268
Jacob Murphy is travelling to Yorkshire this morning for a medical with Sheffield Wednesday. The Newcastle winger has agreed a season-long loan deal at Hillsborough. (Sky Sports)
Jacob was definitely one who jumped too soon. Josh did better waiting a year, but sadly he's also back in the Championship with Cardiff. Hopefully Ben, Todd, Max and Jamal will have clocked that.
Stuart Webber has told Sky Sports News that we're done - no more activity today. So no Rhodes, no Claude-Maurice. Presumably that means any loan for Idah will have to be League 1 too.
Little bit disappointed about Rhodes, who might have got us some late goals, but if I had to choose between him and Drmić, I'd go for Drmić, as he's more versatile than Rhodes. Not sure Idah will be going on loan now. He can get game time in the cups and with the U23s and still fully integrate with the first team squad.
