Can't see either unless it's on loan and I suspect that SW and DF want players to develop into our long term evolution.
Can't see this one happening: https://www.completesports.com/norwich-sheffield-wednesday-target-mikel/ Too many discipline problems to fit the SW/DF criteria and fit comfortably into the squad.
Not been rumoured, but Reece James from Chelsea on loan? Played 45 games for Wigan on loan this season and was their PotS and made the Championship team of the season. A RB who can also play DM. In other news, Zeffane is in talks with Rennes about a new contract. Said he wanted away but that could be designed to improve his potential contract.
It’s going to be a long old summer for transfers. We won’t to spend more than 2s6d (old money for you youngsters) and probably want players on a free. Still it’s worked well this season, but can it continue? I have my doubts.
One of the best players in the Championship this Season. Can play RB, DCM, and CM. Sounds perfect. I would love us to get him on loan.
Reasonable age and good competition for Hernandez, but I suspect Real won't entertain the wage contribution we could offer.
Has everyone seen this? https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/canaries-transfer-rumours-bolton-luca-connell-1-6044913 I haven't read everything on this thread
I read an article a few days ago where Frankie said he wanted to come back and fight for his place at the first instance as he wanted the chance to play in the Premier League
Re: Franke Darmstadt think they have an option to buy, so that needs to be sorted first. It's OK if he wants to come back and try again, but the two clubs may have something to say about that.
Another article about Lucas Connelly here. https://the4thofficial.net/2019/05/...ur-for-this-irish-talent-right-fit-for-farke/ It goes on to point out: "Farke has set up his team to build from the back, and it would be interesting to see whether he would stick with his philosophy when he comes up against tougher opponents in the Premier League. When a side builds up from the back, the defensive midfielder often becomes a crucial player to set up a base for the attack as the fullbacks push up and the midfielder has to fall in deep to dictate play from the defence." This could be a crucial position for us next season. At the moment we have Tettey, Trybull, McLean and Thompson. Tettey is excellent at reading the game and breaking up attacks, but his passing isn't a strength. Trybull is a better all rounder and improved throughout the season and I suspect is first choice at the moment. McLean did well replacing him after the injury and is strong on the passing side but not sure whether his defending is strong enough for the PL unless the coaches can work on that. The other possibility is Godfrey, either as a DM or as a third CB who moves forward when we have the ball or to break up attacks.
