Lacazette going back to Lyon it seems.



I know his contract was expiring anyway but I was hoping we weren’t going to offer him an extension and I’m glad we haven’t.

 

Would be a welcome addition but I don’t see it happening based on the other clubs that are also interested in him.

 

Leno wanted by Fulham. I have to say, I think Leno’s level is much higher than Fulham, but if he wants to stay in London and in the Premier League, I guess it makes sense.

Been a good servant to us and I wish him well wherever he ends up next.

 

Arsenal fans are the worst sometimes. I swear the hype we generate on social media actually effects the Clubs transfers plans.

Currently just 4 days into the window and there's a HUGE amount of moaning on Twitter etc.. that no signings have been made.

 

Marquinhos confirmed. This shouldn’t impact our plans for the first team, though.

Whilst I’m glad we are still looking to sign promising youngsters, we do need to focus on ready made players for now too. We can’t afford to be wasting time.

 

Nah I don’t think this is true. Otherwise we never would have signed Ramsdale, Tavares, Lokonga or re-signed Odegaard. The reaction to us signing those players on social media wasn’t exactly beaming.

However, I think there is some concern about what players we’re going to sign and whether it’ll be enough for the coming season - which is a fair worry to have tbh. Our transfer success rate has been a mixed bag to say the least.

 

I don't think we'll see a lot happen anywhere until the Internationals are over. Clubs will be talking to agents, but until the players are back, I don't see a lot of deals getting done. Hopefully later this week we'll start to see some concrete news on signings.

I think Liverpool have done well to get Nunez done. He looks like a real handful, I was hoping we'd be in for him. But Liverpool can offer him more atm

Would like to see Tielemans and Jesus get done soon and then hopefully we can move onto a defender and another attacker.

 

spurs getting Bissouma for £25m is extremely good business. Cant help but think we should have gotten him.

 

Hopefully we have something better lined up. But yeah £25m for Bissouma is good business.

 

This one has come out the blue, but I must admit, I haven’t seen much of him. I hope he’ll be a useful player for us in any case.

He's TINY but looks technically excellent. Interesting one for sure.

 

Apparently he's been likened to a Bernardo Silva type of player

 

Some football experts have been saying they’re not sure how he fits into the team when we have Odegaard who plays a very similar position/role.

Guess it won’t hurt to have some competition I guess? And if he does turn out to be anything like Bernardo Silva, none of us will be complaining!

16 assists last Season and most chances created in that league. (in just 34 games) Looks like a real handful.

Who the hell are these names? I have to say, we seem to really be doing our business behind the scenes because no mainstream outlet or journalist has been linking us with these players

 

Weird bit of business imho.
Let a player not trusted or rated highly enough to play run down his contract, and then give him £100,000 per week to stay cos he did OK at the end of the season.

Either a master stroke or a panic gamble.
