Oh, wouldn't it be nice if Andersen just slotted in comfortably alongside Taylor? Could we be that lucky?
Yeah their can be many reasons behind closed doors as to why a player hasnt settled or been snapped up yet. At any rate he could well do us a job in league one. Taylor, anderson, evina.....
I heard that our total fee outlay on the newbies is only 850k. That still leaves a few bob from Jenkinsons transfer to secure at least another player.....hopefully a striker.
i reckon, that despite all the players in, that we have less players than last year and i'm almost certain that the playing budget is smaller. youga, semedo and racon were all on loads. dailly, francis, reid, anyinsah must have all been on high league one wages
I think what we're going to be seeing this season is (relatively) modest weekly salaries and thumping great win bonuses - proper incentives to win and to stay in the top six. A bit of a return to the seventies and eighties way of paying players. The salary structure should be much flatter, too with less of a gap between highest and lowest paid. I'd be very surprised if anyone's on much more than £4k a week. Has anybody heard anything concrete on this subject?
