Definitely wouldn't sell Alonso but I don't think he'll fit in as well as he does now if we move to 4 at the back. Haven't seen enough of Emerson to judge yet. I think Luiz has gone at the top level, Drinkwater was poor judgement in the first place and I'd get rid of him too. I'd definitely have RLC in the squad next season though and Kenedy has done well too. Van Ginkel though...he was already too good for that league and we sent him back there, needed a better challenge imo and although he's scored a lot that does include 8 or 9 penalties. Mount has done well at Vitesse, hopefully we take a look at him in pre season.
We need a new: Keeper Luiz to come back or move to a back 4 I'd taken Kenedy back but on as a winger. He's wasted at LB and LWB cause he can't get up and down enough and he's not a great defender. I think we need to blood Emerson in to replace Alonso (unfair Alonso) or at least rotate him Zappa needs to play more A new midfielder. Keep Kante as box to box or as the DM if we go to back 4 Make WIllian a centre mid Don't play Morata or Michy as a lone striker. Need a new rapid winger Wouldn't mind hudson being given some chances. Would fancy seeing more of ampadu. I don't think musonda is ready to return. Also have to disagree with all of you about loftus cheek
hahaha i was wondering what you were doing wondering over here. Well i'm sure we'll try our hardest, we've been playing like **** since the new year and our players have seemingly chucked the towel in. Saying that aren't you sure you won't enjoy the championship more? you'll win far more games and the fairweather fans will be gone
Funny you say that . I fell out of love with football the year after our promotion . Not been to a game since ( was a st holder for the 3 years before ) . I follow Saints , but that's all now . I work in Southampton , and lots of die hard fans there , much as they don't want to get relegated , will welcome it for the happier games of football if that makes sense . Their fear is not relegation , but the financial impact it will have on the club . Esp considering the man in charge .
Amen to that! Ironically it won’t be the pursuit of excellence that forces his hand rather the increasing budget constraints that come with building a colossal “birdcage”. Another thing is if he wants to bring back our quality loanees nothing less than first team football will do; in addition let’s have a credible club captain to provide leadership on the paddock.
