James Connolly has joined us on a permanent deal until 2025, fee undisclosed, welcome back James Put this on the old ins / outs thread by mistake earlier
Good signing as we know him and he knows us so it makes sense. Great that Wael is continuing to support signings with his money instead of picking up freebies. Thank you Wael. Im interested in the fee. Would love to get Taylor and Eliot Anderson back too.
Bristol Live say they understand the fee could be up to £150,000.00. that is not an upfront figure but has clauses that could make it rise to
Cian Harries has signed a 1 year deal for Swindon, don't know who to feel the most sorry for Harries or Swindon
Cam Hargreaves has joined Kings Lynn on a one year deal, I wish him the very best of luck for the future
Tom Mehew has signed for Chippenham Town and could be lining up against he Rovers, the deal is permanent but the length is not given Brett Pitman has signed for AFC Portchester o the South coast.
Surprised he's not aiming at a higher level to be honest - not the nicest of people but still a player good enough for league 2 I would have thought.
Rovers have signed former Portsmouth, Lincoln, Doncaster and Millwall striker John Marquis on a two-year deal. Decent signing at this level and he’s still only 30. I guess that ends our interest in Norwood.
We've signed the striker Jon Marquis, which looks quite a good signing. He's a bit of a tap in merchant. Gets most of his goals in and around the 6 yard box, but I guess he adds another dimension to the attack and he's a proven goal scorer in League One.
When Sunderland tried to sign him to replace Josh Maja when he signed for Bordeaux they were quoted asking fee of £10,000,000.00
I can't see Collins losing his place. I can't see us going 2 up front either. I guess he will be someone to bring on with 30 mins or so to get a us goal when needed. I'll be surprised if Norwood comes too. If he does, good luck to JB in selecting the starting 11 each week. I guess that is a good headache to have. But trying to keep them all happy will be hard. I can see a loan striker coming in though acting as 3rd choice. Few fans from Marquis former clubs say he works hard and does stop running so we will like that but his first touch and his inability to score regular goals will frustrate the hell out of us. They can't see him being a success for us. We'll soon see. Remember JCH didn't have the best records when he joined us and look how that turned out for us.
Apparently Watford are interested in JCH. Very handy for us as we have a 20% sell on clause. With add-ons we’ve already earned almost £2m from the transfer so a few more hundreds of thousands would be very welcome!
