I can’t post the link, but in another stunning triumph for Charlton’s medical department (), Lee Bowyer says he has “no idea” if Lewis Page will be back again this season.

Why does this ALWAYS happen at Charlton ?

Why did we give a new contract to a player who simply never is fit enough for long enough ?

Another seemingly routine injury which costs us a player for 6-9 months.

And WHY doesn’t the manager know Page’s current state of fitness ?

 

He had two separate injuries and our medical department struggles to deal with one at a time!

Before he finally broke down, Page was run into the ground for weeks while he was carrying an injury.
Why?
Because the Club had not brought in any cover for that position in the summer. Self-inflicted failure.

 

Bowyer actually stated this at the time, so he may be partly responsible.

 

Jokes aside, we really should not have given Lewis Page a new contract.

Stuart Pearce he ain’t ...

 

Any news on Krystian Bielik or Jason Pearce?

Bielik took a knock and was subbed late on against Doncaster, so I have read.
And Pearce has dropped out of sight a bit recently.

 

Is Lewis page about

 

Personally, I can't see Page being risked this season... unless they are looking at him for next season.

 

I was standing right behind Bielik (not literally) when he got his injury late in the game on Saturday - he took a painful kick up the arse / lower back. Looked in some pain.

 

I thought originally he was only out for a couple of months

The summer black hole budget is currently Taylor & Phillips - Page will only be drafted in if they can’t afford to pay the electric bill

 

Aribo will be gone as well... whether he signs a contract or not.

 

But due to incompetence, the club won't get a penny for him.

He was excellent in the first half on Saturday - a Championship club will get a lovely free signing there

 

Not free (we will get a Dev Fee) but considerably less than he is actually worth.
