I doubt there will be many saying keep Jake at CB by then.

Is maguire's contract up at the end of the season? Cos i cant see him signing another one after the way he's been treated.

We've got the option of another year on Maguire's contract.

How embarassing is it that Colchester have had a Cat 2 Academy 3 years longer than us. We've had big gates, bigger than they could dream of, since we moved to the KC.

Looks like Mbokani's out for a ****ing month <doh>

It’s time for our regular catch-up with the Tigers’ Head of Medical Services Rob Price as he gives us the latest updates from inside the treatment room.

    Allan McGregor (Back)
Allan is back training with the first team squad now and we’ll be looking to try and get him some match minutes with the U23s in the next couple of weeks before he progresses on to become available for first team selection.

    Dieumerci Mbokani (Hamstring)
Unfortunately Dieumerci suffered a hamstring injury whilst on international duty. When we scanned it, we found a grade two hamstring strain so he’s been undergoing rehab. He’s now managing most activities pain-free but it’s likely that we won’t see him in action again until after the next international break, although he may be touch-and-go for the Southampton game just before that break.

    Andy Robertson (Calf)
This was a strange one because calf injuries normally occur when a player is pushing off on a sprint, but as we see from the footage Andy’s came as a result of a tackle. Scans show that it is a significant calf strain which will take six to eight weeks to recover, more likely towards the eight-week mark. He’s on crutches and in a protective boot at the moment and is likely to be for the next ten days before we can push him on.

Moses Odubajo (Patella Dislocation & Medial Patella Femoral Ligament Reconstruction)
As you might have read in his interview earlier this week, Moses is doing well and if everything goes to plan we’re looking at a return to training during the international break next month. There are still a few boxes to tick before then because he is ahead of schedule at the moment and things need to keep falling into place, but we’re hopeful because of the progression he has made so far.

    Alex Bruce (Achilles Tendon Reconstruction)
Alex is progressing well and he’s now up to 95% on the AlterG treadmill. He’s also done little bits of work outside. We’re now looking at building up his strength and gym activities before progressing further.

    Greg Luer (Knee/Meniscus)
Greg is coming on nicely following his knee operation. He’s doing some gym work at the minute as he’s not allowed to do any outdoor functional activities for a little while yet.

    Brian Lenihan (Knee)
Brian is progressing nicely and is training with the first team squad again. Hopefully within the next two weeks he’ll start to play some minutes for the U23s.

Why would anyone say he might (slim chance) be available before the International break ?
Surely we would be better off giving the worse case and thereby putting off any chance of him being called up for International duties.
