Given klopp says he is really happy with the squad I assume Elliott, ox and keita are our new signings in midfield and minamino is our new signing up front.

To be fair, if they all stay fit and on form then that goes a long way to strengthening the squad.

Yeah, well tbh I can't see minamino's preseason game translating to the bash it about prem. He has knocked in a few nice goals though but looks like he is always a yard behind the game.

His finishes though have been good so let's hope

its a full squad. people have to go to make room for new signings and there's little point praising elliott or keita or ox for doing a preseason then turning round and saying chuff off.

Ideally shaqiri would secure his move here and we would look to secure a new forward. the midfielders are brittle as **** but theres loads of them so again they need to go to be replaced.

 

Curtis Jones injured set to miss a couple of weeks with concussion

 

The ref was a premier league official on Monday and he let ossasuna off on several bad challenges where Jones and tsimikas were consistently targeted.

Frankly Jones wouldn't get a game.anyway but it is still very poor from ossasuna and from the ref to allow a preseason game be a kicking fest, pulling and elbowing fest.

Quick note that robertson was pictured in this weeks training ground shots in full training kit doing running in his boots as well. Whatever that means. Maybe just straight lines and keeping fit but the ankle cant be that bad can it?

 

Roberto Firmino will have further assessment on his hamstring injury - with the striker facing a race against time to be fit for the start of Liverpool's Champions League campaign.
Firmino underwent scans to ascertain the extent of the damage that forced him to limp off shortly before half-time during the 1-1 Premier League draw at home to Chelsea on Saturday.

 

Takumi Minamino has picked up an injury on international duty and will leave the Japan squad. He will be returning to Anfield.
