Toure picked up a knock and is a doubt for Norwich.

Think Sturridge is back in the new year.

Hopefully it will be 6 weeks - which would be mid January. Still a long time ... <ok>

Hodgson said: "The good thing for me about that was that he did get out there. Dan has pulled out of a few matches with us for injury reasons. He has been unlucky with injuries. The first game he [started, against Ireland in May] he got injured.
"It was important for me to test his resolve a little bit. I might have been guilty of putting that resolve to the test, but I don't apologise for it.

What a ****ing dog turd he is.

I really hope on the eve of the world cup he has a non life threatening medical condition that prevents him from flying.....bastard can watch Sturridge play from Fergies old peoples home.

I hope he gets cornered by one of those malfunctioning cyber machine thingies out of Robocop, and it's programmed to shoot anyone who can't pronounce the letter 'R'. "What is your name, old man?" "Er, don't shoot, it's Hodgson"... "Your first name too" "Oh, that's, er Woy" Dat-a-dat-a-dat-a-dat-adat-a...." "Arghhhhh, I'm dying. Tell Fergie I love him...."

  10. Injury update: I'm not too bad at the minute. Right shoulder is still dodgy after the dislocation (self diagnosed) and I've stubbed my left index finger but other than that, I'm good <ok>

A tad harsh given that the decision to play Sturridge in that game meant that he was absent for Liverpool for errrm - NO GAMES.

The injury was a thigh strain & totally unrelated to the ankle ligament injury that no keeps him out for 2 months, but I'm sure that won't stop him being made the scapegoat....

He should have been resting though and playing the full 90 mins didn't help - hence he missed most of the Everton match. Still managed to cause a bit of damage though ;)

Also, Sturridge isn't innocent either - it was his choice as well.

But I agree in that this injury is unrelated - Roy should show a bit more respect though.

I don't understand Hodgson's motives for coming out with that, he's his own worst enemy at times - but I don't think he did anything wrong in playing the lad.

However, he should never have left him on the pitch for the full 90.

I think the reason he didn't start the derby was more down the player & Rodgers reportedly 'having words' when he came back, as opposed to him not being right to play - as he looked alright when he came on like <grr>

  16. Football. Including the stubbed finger!!! (nope, I wasn't in net!)

  17. Maybe its the fact that Woy thought it was justified to risk Danny rather than actually causing injury (which he clearly didn't) <doh>

So he deserves that level of vitriol shown, for merely playing the lad, when no harm actually came to him? Ok mate.

  19. Of course not. I thought you were responding in general to Woy's comments rather than the last bit of DF's comment <ok>
