Turns out that Henderson has Plantar fasciitis.

Worry that he won't ever get back to 100%.

I've got that! Yes you can, though of course I'm no uber athlete like Hendo (and I say that advisedly - I think the bloke would make an international middle-distance runner had he chosen to).

I have a brace I wear at night when it is really sore, but it came on badly for me when I started running @ 10k at 12-14k an hr pace for 4 or 5 times a week. Too much for a middle-aged man like me, but losing 10kg helped, and, tbh I have to stick to a treadmill and avoid roads and cut my distance and pace to about 6/7k at 11k pace.

The weight and roads shouldn't be an issue for Hendo, but I also suggest he invests in a hydro-bath, of all things. Also, the obvious things like heel support AT ALL TIMES! I'm sure the club will specially design his boots and trainers (my inserts cost @ £20), but how many times do you see professional athletes lounging around in flat shoes and pumps when not training? It get's my ****ing goat, it does! During this wet weather I had been walking my dog for @ 2hrs or so over flooded fields and suchlike. Being a dick, I forgot to put the inserts in my wellies. Came on again, wore my brace and put some inserts in my wellies. That simple.

Now he knows what it is it can be easily managed. He just has to be disciplined in all aspects of his life - not just the training.

I have that too but mine doesn't hurt all the time and is pretty mild. The pain isn't always consisyent. Some days worse than others... although being a professional athelete and spending so much time pounding turf its a horrible thing to have for Hendo.

They make footwear to help out...although being a pro I'm sure he already has his footwear custom mapped for his feet.

Liverpool’s Dejan Lovren out for up to a month with knee injury
    • No ligament damage for defender but injury needs time to recover
    • Jürgen Klopp may have Mamadou Sakho back for Watford trip

Dejan Lovren has escaped serious injury following a challenge by West Bromwich Albion’s Craig Gardner but the Liverpool defender may need a month to recover from the impact to his knee.
The Croatia international was taken off on a stretcher in the second half of a tempestuous 2-2 draw at Anfield on Sunday with his knee in a brace and an oxygen mask on his face after a heavy tackle from the midfielder, who won the ball but caught Lovren’s knee on the follow-through.
A scan – delayed on Monday because of swelling – has revealed no ligament damage. However, due to severe bruising, swelling and a deep cut that required five stitches, the 26-year-old, who left Anfield on crutches, could be out for three to four weeks.
The scan result represents a relief to Jürgen Klopp, although he expects Mamadou Sakho to make a timely return from a knee ligament injury against Watford on Sunday. The France international has been sidelined since landing awkwardly in the 2-1 defeat by Crystal Palace on 8 November but resumed full training on Friday and, barring any reaction this week, will be considered for the match at Vicarage Road.
Klopp absolved Gardner of seeking to injure Lovren immediately after Sunday’s game, saying only that his touchline feud with the West Brom head coach, Tony Pulis, was the consequence of “not a friendly game”.
The defender’s absence arrives at an unfortunate time given the demanding festive schedule but, having lost Joe Gomez and Danny Ings to cruciate ligament injuries at the start of his reign, Klopp will be thankful there is no long-term problem.

<laugh> Bloody hurts, you know. There were occasions I found it difficult to stand in the morning when I first got out of bed. Even then, it took hours, sometimes, to go away. Totally avoidable though, and that's the point.

Klopp: Sakho should be ready to play on Sunday
    Chris Shaw @shawct
Mamadou Sakho should be ready to return from injury and feature for Liverpool against Watford on Sunday, Jürgen Klopp has revealed.
The centre-back has been unavailable for the Reds since being forced off in the first half of the Anfield clash with Crystal Palace on November 8.
But with fellow defender Dejan Lovren now on the sidelines, Sakho could line up in the Barclays Premier League game at Vicarage Road.
Klopp said: “Mamadou has trained completely normally.
“It is a good situation. He started normal training last week and now he has completed this week. If it stays like this he will be ready.
“Now he’s had many weeks out, everything is different, but when we all work together as a team it is easier for the centre-halves to play a normal game.
“We want Mamadou’s quality and his strength but the team has to help him too.”

Is Lovren back anytime soon? Will actually be interesting to see a Sakho Lovren partnership as Lovren wasn't TOOOO bad prior to his injury.

Could show us all that Skrtel truly is the link to the disastrous defence!

Think that only applied to the day he said it. He probably injured himself putting his socks on the next day.

Klopp already called him out on it that he has declared himself fit before. He said he will do a couple weeks of high intensity training to make sure he can withstand that first
