Depends if it was really just a precaution or not.

If Sturridge is out long term then the England strike force is starting to look at little thin, albeit I am sure your worries with his injury are far more pressing currently!

Couldn't give a toss about the England strike force. Sturridge is a Liverpool player and that's ALL that counts.

Why even mention England? There's even a not606 Board to discuss that.

I can feel something happening, it's happening right now, you feel that? A distant energy surge, tectonic plates shaking. Epic Allen has just been unleashed.

That rumbling is the combined output of hundreds of thousands of Liverpool supporters sighing, groaning and muttering under their breath at the same time at the thought of Allen playing.

Might be good to let Suarez have the center and get a goal or two to boost him a bit before the Chelsea game. On the other side, a chance for Danny to re-focus as he had gone ice cold in front of goal the past few weeks.

  16. Suarez needs to get a goal against the Chavs to make UIR change his "top four" to "top two" <whistle>

<peacedove>Liverpool are optimistic striker Daniel Sturridge will be fit for this weekend's game against Norwich.

The 24-year-old was taken off after 66 minutes of the Reds' 3-2 win over Manchester City on Sunday with a suspected hamstring injury.

The club said a scan had shown 'a small strain' and that Sturridge would now undergo a programme of treatment with the aim of having him available for the trip to Carrow Road.

Sturridge has scored 23 goals this season, including 20 in the league, to help Liverpool to the top of the table with four games left to play.
