Ned..... 6 weeks away (expected back December) Perch 3 weeks away (expected back mid November Cousins will be in the team squad for this week http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/qpr-give-injury-update-former-13787736 Hall another set back...not training at the moment http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/qpr-defender-grant-hall-suffers-13787670
Beth, thanks for posting as I was lost as regards to status with our long term injuries. Yes, it is bad news regarding Hall. As for Cousin, I have almost forgotten where he plays and how to slot him into our current team. If I were to play at being Ollie, then I would probably choose a team something as follows for Saturday. It is 3-5-2 continuation of the Sunderland set up, but with different strikers (if one can call them that ). -----------------Smithies------------------ -----Baptista---Lynch---Bidwell-------- -Wszołek--------------------Manning-- ---- ----Scowen-------Freeman-------- -----------------Luongo--------------- ----------Wheeler---Sylla------------- But I am sure that Ollie will have something else in mind. I look forward to seeing it and quietly hope for the first away win of the season. COYR's!!!
How about Robinson? Fantastic in the previous home match and then absent entirely from the squad v Sunderland I'm increasingly worried that we may never see Hall in the first team again
Thought I saw that Robinson broke a bone in his hand in training - worryingly sparse in defence at the moment
Robinson really is just unlucky. Has all sorts of knee problems then finally gets a run where he looks decent and breaks a wrist.
And I read somewhere that Caulker is now training with the youth (not development) set-up...due to disciplinary reasons...he has currently been dropped from the u23 setup. We really are down to bare bones in defence...Furlong is the only defensive choice for the bench. Chris paul, who played OK for the u23 at the end of last season, isn't being picked either...not sure why? EDIT...Apparently what I wrote is tosh...as he has just this afternoon played (AND LOST) in the u23 http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-caulker-ipswich-town-u23-updated-201017 He, Goss and Lualua played the full match..Shodipo came on for last 30 minutes...so none of those 4 will play tomorrow. The match was won by a Ipswich shot FROM INSIDE THEIR OWN HALF! "on 63min Australian frontman Folami beat QPR keeper Seny Dieng with remarkable effort from several yards inside his own half."
The sooner we can ditch that piece of deadwood the better - I hope we're not paying him 40K a week if it's down to disciplinary issues.....
