I will never give up on diaby, im actually a physio and wish he was my client, I'm sure i could do a PhD research topic on the man with his case history. From what i have read the guy has put so much effort into his rehab, and knowing from personal experience the hard work and dedication it takes to come back from just one of the injuries he had had, never mind the 10000 injuries this man has had, means i really would love to see the man get a few years injury free as a reward for all his hard work and disappointment. Probably never happen but if karma really exists, the lad will get a few years to show what he can do.
There's zero point in keeping him. Something is wrong at Arsenal - and it's probably the training regime - which means he is permanently getting injured. Until that changes there's no point in keeping players like Diaby around.
I posted quotes from Wenger from a while ago stating that he prefers light players because they can turn faster. Bendy: “At Juventus the training has been different to, and much harder than, anything I’ve done before. Because of that, my form is at a peak. I’m much sharper." Verheijen: "All of a sudden he was not injured anymore. The question is, 'Was he a player of glass or was he trained by coaches of glass?' Arjen Robben and all the other explosive players, like Robin van Persie, when they make an action they use more energy than other players. "If they train the same volume as the other players their energy expenditure is twice as high as the other players. So you have to reduce the training volume by 50 per cent, which is what Bayern Munich did with his programme." Verheijen also called into question the injury record of luckless Arsenal striker Van Persie. He added: "It not all down to bad luck. If you check Robin van Persie's injury history, these were not all fractures. At Arsenal he has suffered from several muscle injuries." There's an interesting interview with Diaby's personal trainer on the internet. When he was using him he made 29 appearances in one season for Arsenal. Why then did he stop using him? van Persie had a PT when he had his injury free season. My personal opinion is that the training regime is for the most part to blame for the muscular injuries that the players receive. Freak accidents happen, but with the regularity that they happen at Arsenal? There is no coinicidence here.
Our injury issues mess up every bloody season. It definitely needs to be looked into and soon. If we hadn't lost such key players for so long this season we would have fared far better.
Do you think Jack Wilshire and AOC should go to the WC? Or would it be better for Arsenal and ultimately England to leave them out of the WC so that they can recuperate from all the niggling injuries and return injury free in August as they seem to get injured soon after returning to match action??
He'd celebrate so widely he'd tear his hamstring and sprain his ankle while damaging his knee ligaments ruling him out until....next seasons Champions League final when he makes his return and does the same thing again.
Just in time for him to be selected by England and then go to the world cup half-fit, where he will play badly and then get castigated by the media.
England will only be playing three games at the WC anyway so I don't think it'll be a problem Jack going.
