I don't think there is any harm in having him around. I really don't know if there is insurance on these injured players, but I would rather keep Diaby around in the hope that he gets fit, knowing he is probably good enough if he does get fit, than sign some young player, and hope that he doesn't have injury problems AND not know if he is good enough anyway.

No, time for Diaby to move on, anyone saying give him another chance in the hopes he gets fit is a ******, does Diaby need to come back and get injured again for some people to finally realise it's time to let him go and he can't stay fit?

If we had to rely on his fitness I would agree with you, however, we are heavily stocked in midfield so no harm in keeping him around on the off chance he comes good.

This <ok> I think the problem before was that we were relying on him to come back and stay fit, now we can afford the luxury of keeping him for a couple more seasons to see if he can finally get over his injury problems. If he does, he can still have a big impact at Arsenal, but time is running out for him to be honest.

Our recent injury crisis shows you need as many reliable and fit midfielders as possible, it's no good keeping him around when he's a liability and we run into injury issues, we could've used a quality midfielder in his injured place today.

Agreed. I like the guy and wish he was fit again, but you can't ignore the fact that he's been constantly injured for quite some time, which has had an impact on the team. Just imagine if he was fit and playing, we would have been a more stronger midfielding unit.

If we are keeping him, are we doing the right things to get him back on track? Maybe we need to get some other alternative help? After all, RVP and Rosicky made a comeback and they were really injury prone.

At least OXO and Arteta are almost on the way back, but by then, we'll probably have another 2 players getting injured!

We get Vermaelen back in the team, and lose Cazorla+Rosicky. Who's the next one to fall when a player returns?

Good to see Oxocube and Arteta seem to be clsoe to a return to the team. It'll be good to have some strength on the bench and the option to rotate some players.

I thought Cazorla was only out for a week, not a month. Bloody hell.

As I said, when we get one player back, we lose another. Arteta back, Walcott out. When Cazorla's back, we will probably lose Ozil or Ramsey.

And the pendulum swings towards the WOB again as the forecasts of doom from too thin a squad which is now getting as thin as Steve Boulds hair are proven to be warranted.

Ramsey needs a rest or he will be next. He looked tired today.

I expect he'll get until next Saturday. I hope to see a much younger team vs. West Brom on Wednesday - the League Cup isn't worth risking first teamers on.

The pendulum has hardly swung and i don't think our squad is getting thinner. If anything players are returning from injury. All our defenders are available. Arteta is back in the mix for the midfield and Oxocube and Cazorla should be back within a couple of weeks. The commentators said Walcott had a slight abdominal issue but it was nothing serious and hopefully shouldn't keep him out any longer than todays game.

2-3 weeks according to Wenger...Don't know from where this news of OXO coming back soon is coming from, Wenger said nothing about it, and said Cazorla is the one to return next, 2-3 weeks away, so OXO can't be that close to coming back, he's out until November it seems.
