Yep - it was FSG's fault for buying crap like Carroll, Downing, Adam for over £50m and spending another £16m on Henderson. Kenny's poor judgement in these players and Commolli's terrible negotiation skills are the reason we now have a poor squad and have had to curb our spending. Perhaps you would prefer some sugar daddy Arabs as our owners?
This is all well and good mate and I admire your confidence however...young players need top senior players to learn from. What will Sterling learn from Downing? What will Morgan learn from Suarez (how to fall over a lot?), what will Robinson learn from Enrique? Uniteds youth were brought in to a very well performing team with each player having someone decent to learn from. They had less pressure in terms of if they weren't ready they went back to the reserves to develop the parts of their game that were being exploited by the opposition. The other thing to consider is the physical strain they are about to be put under. How many injuries will they suffer from being plunged into first team action too soon. Can you honestly say these lads are physically ready to play 3 solid months of first team football? This could ruin careers long term and it isn't right.
I always rule with my head no matter how much it hurts the heart. There is no room for sentiment in football, if there was then Carragher would be playing every game still!
Me neither but it annoys me when people slag off the owners. I know they're not perfect and they have made mistakes but they are trying to rectify those mistakes and learn from them. Football is a complex sport but people are expecting them to be experts within 2 years.
Why does it have to be terrible American owners or a sugar daddy? What I'd like are owners who's first concern is LFC AND who understand the game. Is it such an extreme thought that we might have owners who can be financially responsible but also understand that the best way to make money is to be succesful? As for buying "crap like Carroll" well I would say loaning out a young England international who was learning how to terrorise some of the countrys best centre halfs and who looked full of confidence was as mad a piece of business as any that went before it. Ps...slag DC and KK as much as you like...but then remember who employed them in the first place
They had weeks to rectify their mistakes in the summer instead they just kept making more...and more...and more.
I just think back to my comments when we looking for new owners at the end of Hicks and Gillettes reign. I just wanted the debts gone and for the club to be able to run in a sustainable manner, I also said a bit of income from the owners wouldn't be unwanted either but not masses nor was I expecting it. In hindsight, we have got exactly what I wanted with the additional financial support too. I certainly can't complain
Because the only people that can afford to pump hundreds of millions, even a billion are the foreign sugar daddies. Find a scouse billionnaire who wants to buy the club then I'd happily support him. FSG appointed them based on recommendations. They are not experts on football so they are relying on advice. It was poor advice but can you blame FSG for it? Rather than learning from advice, we're now learning from mistakes - a baptism of fire if you will.
Injury Update: Borini - severe bruising but not too serious Agger - not as bad as first feared but more test are due Kelly - looks bad
It sounds awful but If any were to be the more serious I'd prefer it to be Kelly. I feel defence is the one area we're covered in if he is out for a while - Borini I feel is just starting to get going in the prem, I was very pleased with his movement against United
Real shame about Kelly - but it looks like we have another injury prone defender! Just our luck! But at least we have cover. Borini - Will allow us to see more of Assaidi and Suso. Really hope Agger isn't out for long!!
But they aren't learning that's the whole point. Every time they **** up they justy find the nearest scapegoat. Who else is to blame? They have been here for two years and seem to have learned nothing. If they want some better advice than they've been getting they could phone me and pay me thousands upon thousands to give them **** advice. Hell, I'd do it for half that Here's some free advice for them. If you want a CL standard team then **** "moneyball" off straight away. Invest in the playing squad and if you want to sell players at least have the decency to stump up for replacements. If you're going to sack managers then understand it is essential you back "your man". Take a look in the mirror and understand why neither the Red Sox or LFC are performing as they should. Understand that for all the work on increasing revenues is for **** when your team can't win matches. Stop looking around for people to blame. Get a ****ing grip and do it fast. Why does it have to be a scouse billionaire? Also define sugar daddy for me please. Were the Moores family not sugar daddys to both Everton and Liverpool? Was Jack Walker not a sugar daddy? If a sugar daddy who is just someone who invests money in the squad then damn right I'd take the sugar daddy route.
Sounds a horrible thing 2 say, but I agree with you totally RB is possible the best covered position at the club
