We pretty much topped physioroom throughout last season. We did go down of course. Pretty sure there was a link there. How many are long term? Not many if any? you expect a handful at any point but it doesn't make it wrong to question training methods. Doubt Moyes has had time to impact on the injuries much really but the best time Newcastle have had for injuries was under Bobby Robson and he had some proper sick notes in that squad who were mostly ok under him (Dyer and Woodgate the prime examples). Robson talked at the time about how when he arrived the first team squad did most of their training on the running track (at the training ground) as they were barred from over using the pitch and many complained of knee and leg niggles. It beggars belief.
After Bobby left but yeah an expensive mistake, though don't think that foreseeable (unlike Siem De Jong!). There were conspiracies at the time that Real wanted to sell to us to pay us back for selling them Woodgate. We got a combined fee of just over 20m for Dyer and Woodgate when they left and both barely kicked balls in professional football again - swings and roundabouts.
The second and third sendings off for us that game (has any other club found themselves 8 v 11 in the Premiership, genuinely not sure). Easy question, without looking it up who else got sent off for us that game...
