You can make stats read whatever you want. I could go back to the early part of the season when we were lookings strong or a couple of weeks back when some of our fans, included posters on here thought we were strong enough to make the play offs. I dont think anyone, whether in favour or against Jewell can suggest that this season has had any real highlights and the only stat that counts, ie the final table will prove just that. Trying to win an argument about how this season has gone is about as difficult as seeing sand in the sahara!

I've heard that Chopra and Murphy were seen out in Ipswich on the piss Friday night! Just shows how professional they are!

I would like to think that everyone would be but no, only public enemy number 1 was. I hope Leadbitter departs this summer as much as anyone else but I will also give what I consider to be an honest view of what is happening and so Leadbitter, a player I dont like, put in more effort than Smith, Drury, Cresswell who are players I hope have a future here. One of the things that gets me down on these boards is that people go back 6-9 months when lookng for a argument to put someone down/ prove a case for or against certain players but cant admit a favoured players mistakes or a hated players postives. It seems to be all about proving their own points over what is actually happening.
can you admit that Leadbitter, albeit short term, has been one of our better players? Has tried his hardest. Doesnt mean you like him or you want him to sign a new contract or that you think he was a good signing.

Tractorbhoy you are forgetting that Leadbitter has missed 2 penalties recently. The one against Birmingham would have won us the game! I'm sorry mate but it cuts no ice with me. The guy has been a major flop and i will be glad to see the back of him. I just hope that he is quickly followed by Delaney!

leadbitter has played well for a number of week's, I did mentione this a few weeks ago, but that does not make up for 2.5yrs of poor performances does it.?

Where did I say that. If you read the post rather than try to be a cock. You will see that I agree with you. I said that the stats which count will show we have been **** this season.
Early form = when we were 6th and 6points off the top of the table after 12 matches. When dads army was getting a lot of praise. or a period of recent form when we lost 1 in 10 was it (not sure on the actual stat)
I could of posted them as proof that it could be judged a good season with 2 period of bad form if I wanted to paint a certain picture. But I dont I will freely admit that we have been **** as a whole this season with few highlights. SORRY if I ruin whatever argument you are trying to convict me of.

No thats why I said I dont like him and dont think he was a good signing or want him here next year. Yet again Im agreeing with you but I dare say you will still try to paint a certain picture of me.

Tractorbhoy your fighting a loosing battle these boards are becoming pathetic, hence why I stopped posting on here!!

Like tractorbhoy says stats are stats. We have visibly improved as the since January. and apart from yesterday we don't look like folding quite as much as we did earlier in the season. If we can keep what we've got and add some defenders I don't see why we won't finish in the top half of the table next season and hopefully be in and around the playoffs!!

Not forgetting that and I agree 100% with you. Just think it is FAIR to say he has played well for the last 6-10 games. Nothing more than that.
I could mention that Chopra has missed 4 or 5 sitters. Not as high profile as a penalty miss but I think he has been poor this season and think Scotlands game is a lot better yet nobody seems to have that many issues with Chops.

I dont see it as a battle tbh. Just a discussion with people who want similar goals but different ways of getting there
I dont have a problem with the differences of opinion. We all know this season has been bad in general and definately more downs than ups. I also dont care too much about JWM's heart on the sleeve lurch from love to hate. I can understand where he comes from and 5 minutes after leaving PR i normally feel the same as him. Spanish has rationalised and Yorkie seems to want the best for us, although I think what he actually wants is a 1970's rebirth of us having 7 youngster who can fit in and turn us into greats. Its what I want but know it is all to unlikely to happen. It just seems to me that out of nowhere Hopper has decided to want to become internet hardman and pick selective parts from posts just to start a fight.I can even agree with him and he will have a go.

Guys you are fighting a losing battle because you will not admit that jewell is never gonna get us in a position to challange at the top end of this league.
We may well be playing a slightly better brand of football now but it is not making us a more succesful team.

We do still get rolled over, at least 4 times in the last couple of months we have done this; Brighton, Millwall, Watford & Leicester.!

I hate the fact that we are all fighting like rats in a sack! The reason for this is that this management is the most devisive in our history. Football is a results driven business and I'm afraid that no matter which way you dress it up Paul Jewell is simply not delivering! You say that we have made progress by the better brand of football we are now playing! Well excuse me but despite this improved style of football we are still getting turned over by the likes of Millwall, Donny, Brighton, Forest et al. The players have basically just done enough to keep us in this league for another year. Excuse me if I don't turn cartwheels and praise Jewell to the heavans!
